Step back, doors
closing
All of us who use
public transit have heard some variation on this phrase, and
generally none of us put any thought into it.
Public
transportation, in its various forms, is something that’s very
simply understood. It gets you from A to B and then returns you at
some later point, usually without catastrophe. Rarely does one stare
at a subway or bus map and think “I wonder what’s out there, I
think I’ll find out”. Well I do.
Through this blog,
I’ll explore public transit in the DC area, as well as Amtrak, and
occasionally other cities I happen to travel to. Come along as I
explore the trials and tribulations, progress and pitfalls of light
rail, streetcars, subways, commuter trains, and buses.
